We have much for which to give thanks this year. And not just this year, is it? We have been blessed to have loving and supportive families, mostly good health, more than enough to eat, a nice warm fire on a chilly night like tonight, and a sound roof over our heads. This weekend, we will celebrate our first 12 months of being in the tasting room; it has been a fun year and a challenging year. Thank you to all of you who have: supported us; been out to visit with us; helped in the vines or on bottling day; taken a bottle or two home with you; told a friend about us; and followed us on this blog, or one or more of our other social media outlets.

Next weekend, on Saturday 7 December from noon to 5p, we are hosting our first holiday event. We are calling it ‘A Handcrafted Christmas at Addison Farms Vineyard’, and we will have several of our local craftspeople displaying their wares. We are excited about the event, as we think we have lots of talented people in our community. Come out and support some local folks, get your holiday shopping done with lots of handcrafted goodies, and support a good cause. We are not doing our ‘usual’ tasting that day. Instead, we are asking you to make a $10 donation to help support Eliada Homes [http://www.eliada.org/], and in return, we will give you a free tasting and wine glass. We will present the good folks at Eliada with the accumulated donations the following week. We want to be sure that every kid at Eliada has something to celebrate this holiday season. We look forward to seeing you at Addison Farms Vineyard this weekend or on your next visit to Asheville.

Happy Hanukkah and happy Thanksgiving. See you soon!
